St. John's Wort Tincture (Hypericum perforatum)

$12.00

St. John’s wort is a powerful herb with small flowers the color of the Sun. St. John’s wort acts as a protector against depression. Taken internally over time, St. John’s wort inhibits the uptake of three “feel-good” hormones (serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine) which allows them to circulate in the body for a longer period of time.*

As a warming nervine, St. John’s wort stimulates nerve repair. Over time this herb can greatly reduce nerve pain, healing long-term nerve damage.

St. John’s Wort is an herb of the Sun. The Greek word Hypericon means “over an apparition”, relating to ancient ancestral knowledge that St. John’s Wort is a protector and talisman to ward off evil spirits.

St. John’s wort flowers are harvested on the summer solstice, steeped in alcohol for 8 weeks, then strained and bottled.

Instructions: Place 1-3 dropperfuls of tincture in a small glass of water or directly under the tongue. Best taken between meals, take as needed. Consult with a trusted herbalist or physician if you are nursing, pregnant, or taking other medications. "

*St. John's wort is known to interact with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Use only under careful supervision of an experienced herbalist or doctor.

Our promise: The herbs in every one of our products are grown and harvested at Orchard Hill Gardens mirroring the cycles of nature and using natural farming methods. No harmful chemicals are used on our plants, ever.
